Invitation to special briefing - National Educational Psychological Service

The National Educational Psychological Service (NEPS) branch of IMPACT trade union would like to invite you to attend a special briefing on its policy document The Way Forward.

This special briefing event takes place on Wednesday 7th December in the Oak Room, Buswell’s Hotel at 6pm.

NEPS has provided a quality service to schools nationally since 1999, and has been subject to the recruitment restrictions since the economic downturn in 2008.

The education commitments outlined in the Programme for Government - including the commitment to increase the number of NEPS by 25% - have been welcomed by all who work in our education services.

We produced The Way Forward  in order to outline the specific need for increased investment in the NEPS, and have been working with the Department of Education and Skills toward realising the Government’s commitment to increasing the number of educational psychologists employed in the service.

This special briefing event for members of the Oireachtas and education stakeholders will provide an opportunity to find out more about the need for investment, and to respond to any questions you have about the NEPS.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Yours sincerely,

Tony Martin,
assistant general secretary,
IMPACT, on behalf of the National Educational Psychological Service (NEPS) branch - tmartin@impact.ie
